Jiah Khan’s Suicide on Silver Screen

Bollywood Actress Jiah Khan’s mysterious suicide is planned to hit the silver screen with film stars well-known Marathi actress Tejaa Deokar playing the role of Jiah Khan

Without revealing much, Tejaa said, “Yes we are making Nati on the life of an actress who is frustrated with her career and especially her love life. It is a journey of a woman and the circumstances that compel to her commit suicide. I have to lose a lot of weight in the first half of the film and I am rigorously working on it. In the second half, I need to put on weight. I am also working on the stories of different models and actress who have committed suicide in the past.”

On being asked if the film is based on the recent Jiah Khan’s suicide case, Tejaa replied, “I believe performing the character will create no controversy at all. Why should I bother to take permission from her mom? Had it been some great politician or someone who may have done something for our country, then I would care to seek permission. If it were someone like Indira Gandhi, then we would definitely have sought permission. Also, my producers will have to look into all this. I as an actor need to just do my job.”

About Suraj Pancholi, she says, “Both hands are needed to clap. While in love we cannot blame the other.” Adding about her own love life she says, “My man is not from Bollywood at all. But I am very lucky to have someone so understanding and trustworthy. But, I must confess I would never think of committing suicide, no matter how tough things get. Life is full of problems we need to sort them out.”

Nati is being directed by debutant Yogesh Jadhav and is all set to hit the screens in the month of October. Some sources also claim the director is on the hunt for an actor who looks similar to Suraj Pancholi.

 

Postmortem report confirms Bollywood actress Jiah Khan died of hanging

Postmortem report of Jiah Khan has concluded that the Bollywood actress died due to hanging and no external injuries were found on her body, police said on Wednesday.

“The postmortem report has found that the death of Jiah Khan was due to hanging and no other external wounds were found,” they said.

Jiah (25) hanged herself at her residence in western Mumbai on June 3, allegedly over broken relationship with aspiring actor Suraj Pancholi, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.

Police are yet to verify if the letter was indeed written by Jiah and are awaiting report of handwriting experts.

 

Director, Actor Manivannan Passed away today due to cardiac arrest

Famous Hollywood actor, writer and director R. Manivannan passed away (June 15, 2013) today following a cardiac arrest at the age of 58.

His friend said that he passed away at his residence in Nesapakkam. He was survived by his wife, son and a daughter.

The friend said that, “I can’t believe he is no more. He was perfectly fine when I met him recently during the release of his 50th directorial film.”

Actor Siddharth tweeted on Twitter about the death of the multi-faceted talented actor, “The great Manivannan Sir is no more. Many lives in cinema are what they are today because of him. Writer, director, actor… gone too soon.”

Cops get report on alleged abortion Suraj Pancholi will go to jail till June 27

Suraj Pancholi, charged with the abetment of actress Jiah Khan’s suicide, has been sent to judicial custody and will go to jail till June 27, a Mumbai court ruled today.

The medical reports related to actress Jiah Khan’s alleged abortion have been received from a hospital were the procedure was conducted, the police said here on Wednesday, June 12.

“There have been no new developments so far. We have received the medical reports from the hospital where the foetus was aborted,” said a police officer.

In court, Mr Pancholi’s lawyer argued that the letter found after Ms Khan’s death does not name his client.

Ms Khan’s mother, Rabiya Amin Khan, alleges that the six-page letter written by the young actor proves that she was driven to suicide by a messy love affair. “The letter does not have a name, so who it is addressed to is something you can only ask Jiah. But because of the incidents in the past and what she told me, all of these things point out to Suraj Pancholi,” she said to reporters on Monday (June 10, 2013).
