Technical Awards for IIFA 2013

International Indian Film Academy announced winners of the Technical Awards category for the year 2013.

Among the 14 awards Anuraj Basu’s Barfi has earned the highest number of awards in this category. Total of 9 awards was given to the movie highlighting Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design, Best Song Recording, Best Sound Mixing, Best Background Score, Best Costume Designing, and Best Make-up

The winners will receive their trophies at the VIDEOCON DDB IIFA 2013 Weekend.

After a long time Bollywood Actress Sridevi will be performing on the stage at IIFA Awards 2013. And for the first time she is going to have a move with the dancing Guru, Prabhu Deva. The most interesting part is that the duo themselves have choreographed their performance.

Both the stars have started their rehearsal. It can be difficult task to cope with the elastic moves of the dancing start but Sri’s innate talent will make her a perfect match the beats.

It is going to be a real visual delight for the watchers to see the two terrific dancers burn the IIFA 2013 dance floor!

International Indian Film Academy Awards 2013

To honor Bollywood Celebrities artistic and technical excellence of professionals in Bollywood, International Indian Film Academy is presenting International Indian Film Academy Awards. The event was started in 2000 and was held in different countries each year and last year (IIFA 2012) it was held at Singapore. IIFA awards have been organized by Winzcraft International Entertainment pvt ltd. Winzcraft is one of India’s premier event management and entertainment agencies.

This event was first initiated in the year 2000 at The Millennium Dome in London, United Kingdom. From that time the awards were held at different locations in the world to signify the international success of Bollywood. During the initial stage the event was a one night event but now it has grown to three day celebration which includes various events and activities depicting the Indian Film Industry.

Till 2010 Bollywood Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been the Brand Ambassador of IIFA. When IIFA entered its 10^th year it announced five special awards. They were Star of the decade (male and female), Movie of the decade, Music of the decade, and Director of the decade. These awards were to honor films from the previous calendar year.

This year being the 14^th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA 14) will be held at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, the official Host Destination Partner. Over the last 13 years IIFA has adorned UK, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and North America. This year, the VIDEOCON DDB IIFA Weekend will return to the crown jewel of Cotai Strip Resorts – The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, making it one of the fortunate few destinations to host the IIFA celebrations twice. The three-day long IIFA Weekend and Awards is all set to take place from the 4th to 6th of July.

This year Bollywood actors and actresses like Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit will be performing on the IIFA stage. And for the first time dance superstar Prabhu Deva is going to have a dance performance with the Bollywood Actresses Sridevi. The Indian Cinema is going to take the center stage from July 4^th to 6^th 2013 at The Venetian Macao.
