Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra’s father Ashok Chopra, who was hospitalized at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital passed away Monday afternoon.
Hospital COO Ram Narain said that, “He passed away at 12.30 p.m today (Monday). He was undergoing cancer treatment.”
Ashok Chopra was hospitalized about 17 days ago and was undergoing cancer treatment for the past few years but this time he was in a fatal stage.
His daughter Priyanka Chopra cancelled all her film shoots and was by her father side for the last few days.
Ashok Chopra was a retired army lieutenant colonel. He retired from the army in the year 1997.
Chopra is survived by his wife Madhu, also a former army doctor, daughter Priyanka and son Siddharth.
