News often becomes fodder for TV shows. Earlier we have seen the Jessica Lal murder case, Adnan Patrawala murder case, Aarushi Talwar murder case being recreated on televsion. Recently we saw the Delhi gangrape incident shown on Sony TV’s Crime Patrol and now we heard Bollywood actor Jiah Khan’s suicide case will be told in Channel V’s popular show Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
According to the grapevine, “The story revolves around a film actress, who, while on top of her game, falls in love with a director’s son and gets extremely possessive about him. The boy, an aspiring actor, ends up signing a film with her, but after she delivers a string of flops, replaces her with a newbie. Unlike Jiah, who took her life by hanging herself from a fan, the actor in the show will jump off the fourth floor of her building. The central characters will be played by Mihika Verma and Rithvik Dhanjani, while Bobby Darling will play her friend and business manager.”
We really look forward to the portrayal of Jiah Khan’s suicide and the way it ends especially since the decision in this case is still pending.
Shahrukh Khan will walk the ramp with the poster girls of Yash Raj Films – Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Katrina Kaif to pay tribute to Yash Chopra on his birth anniversary on September 27th. Shahrukh will be the only male actor to walk the ramp at the event organised by the late filmmaker’s wife Pamela Chopra. While Pam Chopra has been tight lipped about this special plan to celebrate her husband’s life, the Yash Raj films spokesperson, Rafiq Gangjee confirmed this news, “Pamelaji requested Shahrukh to be part of this tribute to Yashji and he happily agreed to walk with all the divas as part of the grand finale.”
Last year when the maverick filmmaker celebrated his 80th birthday, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan star had interviewed Chopra in front of a live audience comprising industry members and journalists at a grand event. While we definitely are looking forward to this event, what stands out as a sore thumb is the ex-favourite of YRF camp Kajol not being invited to this event.
Last year it was Sunny Leone who was declared the most dangerous celebrity in the cyberspace. And now Priyanka Chopra has clinched the notorious title with an effortless ease, thanks to her incredible popularity. PeeCee has certainly been making her starry presence felt not just with her films in India but she is now an international sensation thanks to her singing talent. The babe has been making waves with her solo single In My City and also with Exotic featuring Pitbull. Obviously, that makes Piggy Chops the most searched B-town celeb, beating even Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Interestingly, and ironically, hackers all over the world steal passwords and personal information from celeb crazy fans that search the web for news and pictures of the favourite stars. These searches for the celebrity’s name with search terms like wallpaper, videos and nude pictures mostly lead to malicious sites. Priyanka being one of the top searched B-town celeb, some of the news revolving around her lead to malicious sites, making our darling star the most dangerous celebrity in the cyberspace!
Gauri Shinde made her directorial debut in Bollywood with English Vinglish which turned out to be a blockbuster and also marked Sridevi’s return to the filmi duniya. Since then we have been waiting for Gauri to announce her next film, hai na? Looks like Gauri has finally found a worthy project. We hear she may soon collaborate with the magnanimous B-town producer-cum-director Karan Johar for a film. Suna hai, the two talented filmmakers have had quite a few meetings and if things materialise, they will get down to work very soon.
We hope Gauri and KJo work together coz we are sure these two will churn out a stellar film which will be worth watching. We are certainly keeping our fingers crossed for this one!

Amitabh Bachchan met ailing actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalised on September 15, at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Actor Saira Banu – Dilip Saab’s wife – was also present with her brother. Big B wrote about Dilip Saab on his blog, saying:
“I had never met him so … in bed, in hospital, ailing and troubled and harassed by all the medical fuss around him … Dilip Kumar!! The great thespian, the wonder of Indian cinema, the ultimate performer in my eyes, lying there in Lilavati Hospital, recovering from a recent mild heart attack!
He seemed cheerful.. at least when he saw me … Saira ji warned me that he had been quite irritable and non-cooperative throughout the day, and so to excuse any kind of untoward behaviour that he may dole out to me … but he was gracious and kind .. Repeatedly he kept saying ‘wah’ ‘wah’ and then slipping into repetitions of ‘Allah’..
But he smiled when he saw me and when I held his hand he gripped it like I would never be able to extricate myself from it … strong and full of strength ..
There is talk to bring him back home soon … that bodes well for him and his family.. May he recover fully as soon as possible … our prayers and ‘duas’ for him?”
Big B reportedly visited Dilip Saab at 7pm last evening and spent 30 minutes with him. Dilip Saab has been shifted to the general ward and may get discharged by Wednesday.
“I want to become a superstar, but for that, I first have to be a super actor….The word ‘superstar’ these days is used for anybody who delivers a Friday hit. Amitabh Bachchan and the Khans have worked for many years. They have also given back to society. I am just 14 films and six years old in the industry. I know I’ll achieve it in a few years from now and I’m arrogant enough to say that, but now isn’t the time.”
